There have been a ludicrous amount of posts asking the same few questions, so I figure it is due time to get a FAQ or something going.

Basically, post up any common questions you have seen (with answers if possible), or ones that you would like answers to and I will do my best to consolidate them. I've seen several very good graphics showing pinouts for molex, etc. that I will start hunting down in my free time, but if you find any that would be useful, please post them here.

A few off the top of my head to get started:

How to make a molex/sata to DC barrel adapter for LED strips

Correct pinout to make 5v/7v fan adapters

Pinouts for PSU plugs, fan plugs, etc.

Types of connectors - e.g. Dupont for USB, JST for fan, etc.

Acrylic cutting advice

Sleeving tutorials? I know there are several good ones out there.

DIY Cases - cannibalizing and old case for I/O or buying a LianLi tray or the Danger Den? one. Cannot remember what site has that.

Common PC DIY websites. http://www.performance-pcs.com/,etc.

Painting tutorials. Again, there are already great ones out there, would like some help finding the most useful/informational ones.

DIY Myths - e.g. A wood case is not going to set on fire like some might think.

Spec drawings for PSU sizes, motherboard sizes, etc.

W-L You end up answering 90%+ of them, so I'd love it if you could chime in and help out.

Fronzencpu is shit *shut down...

I had thought that too, but the site is still up so I figured they were back up and running.

It lets me add stuff to the cart and check out... I didn't actually purchase anything though.

EDIT: I think they are open again, just haven't updated this.

Site down until further notice

-SNIP-

This is not a bad idea consolidating a bunch of FAQ for modding and being able to reference back it for a detailed instructions for anyone looking to do those mod. There have been some really good guides on painting and other things too but they tend to get lost in the pages upon pages of post in a while. If we could pin them and have a way of direct linking them to the exact section of the pinned post that would work well but I'm not sure if that's something that can be done.

I wouldn't mind putting something together if we could get it pinned on the mods sections with a good way of linking to certain sections it would make repeating things a little less. :P

If you click on the number in the top right of a post it will give you a direct link to that post.

Oh.... only after a couple thousand post and I find this out now....  :o

Yeah that would work well it could be titles with each post being separate FAQ places in different categories that can be linked back to it and expanded with the show button to show more info on that topic.
