Hello my fellow PC enthusiasts!

I wish to upgrade my motherboard. Not because i NEED it, but because i can and because i've found a good deal.

I am, however, a bit troubled about something.. The RAM compability.

So, first off, here's my rig. (Uploaded as Specs.png)

And my RAM specified( http://www.kingston.com/us/hyperx/memory/fury) i'm 99% sure that those are the ones i've got.

So, as you can see my current Motherboard is a Z97-K, which is a lovely board.

It fits my i7-4790 just fine with a Z97 chipset along with it.

And the Motherboard i want to upgrade to is the Z97 Sabertooth Mark 1.

It has the same chipset, it is compatible with my CPU buuuut...

I'm not sure my RAM works with it!?

So i checked the QVL and i didn't find my RAM on the list.. Then i checked my current MB's QVL and i didn't found them there either?

Can you help me find out if this upgrade is possible without changing any parts?

And btw, i have a 500W powersupply. Should i fear that the new motherboard requires more power, hence the extra fans and sexy stuff the sabertooth has?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick response!

It matches on type/name DDR3, it matches on Mhz and it matches as unbuffered memory.

I just really wanna make sure :) Because if i have to upgrade my RAM too, it's probably not worth it.

Do you think it's a clever upgrade, or am i just wasting my money? I kinda want to have better upgradeability in the future too. (Aswell as just a sexy MB)

What if the deal is like.. Really good? We're talking below 50% price of a completly new one, only used for like 2 months, has everything original, and i can sell my current one for like 50% of it's value.

Maybe i'm just trying to justify a luxery buy, which it obviously is..
