Windows 7 key

Hello all, I am planning on making a new PC and was wandering if it is possible to just buy a key to activate windows since I already have the disc.

I would just buy a new disc Windows 7 has come down a lot in price since Windows 8 came out.I dont believe you can buy just a code unless somebody is willing to sell you one from their PC.

If you already have a disc can you not use that and the key that came with that disk, If you get errors then try re activating the key with Microsoft I am not sure how you do that now adays but that was just a thought.

I think the Upgrade anytime option after you install windows 7 is no extra media, but you'll end up paying more than buying the OEM version (with disc) or if your student (get student discount).

 

win 7 and win 8 the same price... your pick.  You can even download the iso directly from Microsoft anyway.

I have spoke with Microsoft about this you can use a non OEM key up to 3 time on 3 different computer from what they told me.
