Okay, I have this old e-machine computer, it's a POS. Basically, it was my sisters old computer, its from like 2012, and just out of the blue when you boot up the PC it says "The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied." Now i've spent countless hours trying to get past this, and I just cant seem to get it. Now my initial use I was going to use it for was to put ubuntu onto it, but I cant even do that, tried via USB, and nothing. I've tried safe mode, it logs on for about 2 seconds, and then logs off and gives the same message. I just cant figure it out what so ever. Any ideas?

If you are wanting to install Ubuntu onto it then just do it, you dont need Windows to do that at all (provided you have the installation medium on disc/usb/network).

Only issue with that, is that there is only one account on the computer. It's the admin account. So I cant create any other accounts on the machine.

I'm aware I dont need windows to install ubuntu, I have it via USB, but it just shows the command line flashing, nothing else. The iso file is mounted properly on the USB

Check settings like Legacy boot/etc. and make sure you are in fact booting to the USB
