Temps over 100c

Prime 95 for 1 hour

 

Heaven Benchmark for 20 minutes.

T1 is showing up as the CPU temp in Heaven

So my problem is that when the tmpin0 reaches over 100c, my cpu-clocks drop to 1.6GHz, but my CPU never goes over 61c.

The downclock only happens when I'm stress testing the GPU or gaming.

CPU temp doesn't seem to be a factor.

This happens during normal gaming, whether it be Battlefield 4 on Ultra, or just CSGO running at 1024*768

I have tried default cpu settings. Same shit.

UPDATE: It seems to me this had something to do with the video card because I installed an intake fan at the bottom of my case which blows cool air directly onto the video card and the temps never surpassed 75c. All is fine now.

Well, under load, see if your VRMS are hot.

Because VRMS are the only things that can only get that hot and not kill everything..

Noctua NHD-14. CPU temps are showing up normal. The heatsink is warm to the touch. Nowhere near hot.

tmpin0 is mobo sensor and as one inaccurate. Look numbers under CPU name for real core temps. Those are just fine.

yes, i have read that tmpin0 is inaccurate, but, this inaccurate sensor drops my core clocks when it reaches over 100c. Every time. It seems to me this had something to do with the video card because I installed an intake fan at the bottom of my case and the temps never surpassed 75c. All is fine now.
