Hi Guys,

I am having some performance-related problems with my Asus G751JY(i7-4710HQ, GTX980, 16GB Ram). Some days ago i could run everything maxed out @ 60Fps+, no problems, but from one day to another the Performance droped very much. I am only having 40 to 50ish Fps in League of Legends, in "demanding" parts it even dips down do 20ish Fps. Changing the Quality didn´t. Then i tried to pin down a bottleneck, but then something strange showed up. My GPU didnt go beyond 30% Load and a clock of like 600-700MHz, eventhough it didnt hit it´s power limit at all and the temps were chilling at 40°C. I Tried out some Battlefield 3 and the Multiplayer had constant 30ish Fps, no matter what I change in the grafics settings. I tried Prime95 and the CPU was stressed all the way up, so it had no Problems delivering all it´s performance. I didn´t expect the bottleneck to be there to be honest, but i did it, just to be sure. Then I loaded up Valley Benchmark (All maxed out, in order to stress the 980m to it´s limits), ran it and observed something strange: I saw in the Afterburner Overlay (just using it for the Overlay, no OC) that the Temps weren´t hitting 55°C but the GPU usage fluctuated between 20% and 80%. The GPU usage even gone down in more demanding parts of Valley with the result being FPS fluctuating between 12 and 35 FPS, depending on GPU usage. No VRAM Bottleneck either, it hasnt been pushed nearly at its Limit. Ram and drive usage aren´t the problem either, not that i would have expected that :D . All I can do now is ask you guys for help.

Thanks in advance

Yashin
