How would this stack up to a 7950 overclocked to 1200mhz on gpu and 1500mhz on memory? or against just two stock clocked TwinFrozr3 7950s from msi...the 960mhz models....

if those specs are right and if it is a single gpu card i would say more than 3x times faster

HOLY CRAP REALLY!!!!....the 9970 will be three times faster my gpu.......im guessing it cant beat two 7950's in crossfire with the new amd drivers fixing microstutter....I can currently match up to 7970ghz edition models.....the 9970 cannot be that fast......maybe a 10-15% increase in rendering power over a 7970.....also if the $549 price tag is right then i guess im fine....i wouldnt have enough to buy that card any way XD it would be a total of around £450 in the uk accounting for all the tax and reseller profits wanted...which is £220/$332 more than what i paid for my card......i could just buy another at the end of this year hopefully the prices come down....and i dont have to pay anything more than £200

once you are talking about 4000 shader units and 1ghz its 2x faster than a titan (close to it) i said more than 3 times it probably will be 5x times faster than 7950 new 20nm arch. is so powerful these cards are made to compete with nVida 800 series too

if the specs are true nVida will have to counter it with TİTAN 2.0 or TİTAN Tİ or sometin like that ^-^
