install gpu then drivers

or drivers then install gpu?

 

Install, then drivers.

I do them at the same time, i just let it download and install while i download the rest of the drivers...

 download new drivers (to have them ready) but dont isntall yet, uninstall old drivers, remove old GPU, insert new GPU, install drivers

Well no, i install it while the gpu is in, i'm too lazy to get it out, it's tricky tbh. It just fits in my case and it's just so big and hard to get in or out. (it's an asus triple-slot whatever)

I use the intel gpu and the amd gpu so in the end, what does it matter? I need both anyway. And funniest thing is i had more issues to get the intel working compared to get the amd working.

Oh, no... if you didn't have a prior GPU card, then just install the drivers, after installing the physical GPU

oh i thought you were upgrading your GPU

in ths case you can just skip the uninstall part from the process above :)

as long as you switch from iGPU to PCIe in the BIOS there should be no issues with the drivers interfering

switch?

mines a prebuilt from hp, i dunno if that option exsits, if not already on
