GTX 970 + NZXZ g10

@Faceman

yes but the my gtx 970 isnt the best in terms of temps and noise so i dont know if i can get the price down, i can try it but i dont think that he goes down in price.

But then i have to wait even more to buy the g10+h55 and i personaly like the blower style cooler much more then the other because i had an ref. gtx 780 which had an memory error

Ultimately, its up to you.  The 980 does give you a better path to G10, but I feel like you are overpaying by 25E.

1. The Doctor is right. A single gtx 970 is having a tough time on ULTRA settings in those games. If you wanna go there, I would recommend SLI.

2. Your English is fine. Thats coming from an American.

your gpu shouldn't be running that high in BF3 or 4 you might want to check you settings to make sure that you don't have the resolution set higher than 1080p or turn down the details in game

in bf4 1080p i have 150 fps on ultra, resolution on 140% msi gtx 970 fans run at 800rpm and 63*C so mine handles it no problem

I also call BS. Maybe this is single player, or your resolution scale of 140% didn't take hold, because that is a BS result.

Try it yourself, you go to Dokuments\Battlefield 4\settings and open "PROFSAVE_profile" in notepad ++ and write "GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4" at the 53rd line. then save and you are done  2d135lh.png

yes but 150 FPS on Ultra with 140% res. at 800 rpm and 63°C are a little bit weird

Hello,

I have GTX 780Ti with Kraken G10 and Corsair H75.

Room temp 26-28°C.

Stock Cooling idle 33-40°C.

G10-CORSAIR H75 Idle temps are 24-30°C.

Full Load the temps are 42-47°C.

I SET up the pump on 31% at 25°C, 60% at 35°C and 98% at 41°C.

For the fans i control them from a manual system, i like it better and only on games i have them at full RPM, on idle and small applications they run at 30%.

I believe its great opportunity to have it and you dont need to worry about the temps enymore.

I hope i helped you.

My english are messy too so i hope you understand.

Best of Luck!!!  :)

Maybe you just need extra case fans, a 970 shouldn't get that warm or inno3d must've used a really crappy cooler, but I don't think that's the case. What temperatures are your hard drives? If they get hot too it might be a sign of crappy case airflow.

Going to be doing this to my 970 soon. On gta stock clocks my strix card is always at 75 degrees at 50-55% fan speed and its not all that loud but it's noticeable when gaming with a headset on and it's not even summer temps yet :/ now I just need to save up 150$ :/

$150 is more than you need to spend. $100 is more than enough. H55 + G10 + optional extras. The biggest thing to consider on the Asus 970 is that VRMs are on the left side of the GPU, but the G10 is built for right side VRMs. The Strix's VRMs are already heatsinked, so you need to get airflow over them. You can ghetto rig a fan, buy a PIC fan bracket, or Antec Spot Cool.

Sorry dude, I thought the same but the game is actually running at lowest settings..

Take that command off and put settings to lowest and you will get the same fps.

That command is broken.

Yes I figured that out as I couldn't change my resolution then there was so much aliasing and I realised the settings were on lowest as @Gofspar told me

It does work, you just have to get some airflow over the left side of the GPU because the VRMs aren't on the right side like the G10 was designed for.
