What i want to know is. What's best for gaming. SSD, Hybrids or normal HDD's.

I have an 850 PRO as a boot drive and a WD Red for Films/Music and file storage.

However i need a third drive dedicated to gaming. Money is no limit.

What would be better for performance?

An 850/840 Evo 1TB, WD Black 3TB or some Hybrid Drive.

An SSD doesn't make noise is much faster, but HDDs are cheaper. Pick the one for the job. If you have a ton of games, then you should get a hard drive, or both a hard drive and SSD. If you only have a few games, then an SSD will be fine alone.

All of them are great for gaming storage, it only affects loading time (NOT fps). SSD is the fastest, it loads the fastest then followed by SSHD then HDD.

Hi there @iDeJayDzn!

I wouldn't go with a hybrid since only the programs that are stored in the cache will have faster loading, and you don't have any control over what is stored there, so you can either go with a SSD or HDD, depending on your budget. As for WD Black, it's a performance drive and I personally have one for gaming, so I can recommend it.

Cheers! :)
