Win 8.1 OEM Reinstalling?

almoskosz

Hi! :D

I am upgrading to an SSD this weekend and i obviously want to reinstall the OS to this SSD from my HDD it`s currently on. Now i don`t understand one thing. I have an OEM version of the OS and it says that it will only be able to be installed on one motherboard, and it doesn`t mention the drives.

My question is: am I going to be able to install it the same way and with the same software key as previously? Of course, after formatting my HDD as i am not planning on saving any data over, maybe a few pictures.

Thanks for the help, and please forgive me if i asked something very noobish :D

When I re-installed my OEM version, I had to make use of Microsoft's automated phone authentication, where you dial a number and spend five minutes punching in and receiving numbers. Worked a charm, though, and I got it activated.
