Im building my first rig in a few weeks and i want to hear if i chose good parts :) PC will be used for gaming and multitasking.

 

CPU: i5 4690K

 

CPU Cooler: Corsair H75 for mild overclock and cool looks ;)

 

GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970

 

Motherboard: Asus Z97-P ATX

 

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz 16GB

 

Case: NZXT H440

 

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

 

HDD: WD Black 1TB

 

PSU: Corsair RM550

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866MHz

GPU: Asus Strix RTX 2060 OC

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero 

Storage: 1TB, 500GB, 250GB SSD's, 1TB SSHD

Case: Corsair Carbide Air 540

Noice, however, swap the SSD for something else, stay with MLC Nand, TLC is just meh. Also, get H100i, save up a few, the single rads are beaten by most air coolers.

And the Strix is known to have coil whine issues, I recommend an EVGA non ACX card or the infamous G1 Gaming

All 970's can have coil whine.

My 970 G1 has coil whine when running things at 500fps+

 

The MSI and Gigabyte 970's are way better at overclocking than the Asus 970 obviously, just look at the power designs.

Change the corsair rm out for a psu that isn't overpriced.

This psu is just as good if not better and after rebate it's only 40. 

 

As far as the evo, it's a fine drive. Tlc may not be as good as mlc but if you get the evo for the right price it's a fantastic drive.

I would also like to add that any cooler under h100i is completely crap in the price to cooling ratio. A air cooler of the same price would decimate it, but looks can be important.

SSD is fine. I would only switch psu maybe leave room for sli in the future.
