i know this is probably a dumb question but if i was going to oc this can i use the stock cooler?

what cpu ?

g3258 you can oc with stock

but generally no dont oc with stock cooler

yeah you can but i wouldnt recommend that at all

Overclock what? What CPU is it? What motherboard is it?

 

And generally stock cooler is not enough to keep overclocking temperatures at an acceptable level.

On stock colling you should be able to reach 4.3-4.4 Ghz on the G3258
