Tell me what bad I do with this build. Maybe some part change suggestions?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vs2HK8

great build. I would do western digital green or black for storage. Also use a ASUS board. Don't buy that PSU!!!!! Buy a EVGA PSU and get more wattage for less money. Questions please let me know.

Makes me wonder why an 780 when you can fit in an 980 just fine. And 850 watts psu is a bit overkill.

My build is still under his budget.

Even tho it may be overkill at least it is under the amount.

The 970 is close enough to the 780ti that the $100 difference is not worth it.

The $100 difference is worth it. That 780ti is the same on his link.

So you want an opinion so bad? That 970 has the vramgate. Shitty videocard you could pick by now. Nvidia not gonna fix the issues it has. If he runs 4k that card won't give him anything but issues. That corsair case, ugh. You pay for nothing then the name. Phanteks has innovations in place besides corsair that hasn't managed to get sturdy sidepanels. Only ok thing in this build is the corsair ram. Vengeance Pro can hold xmp very well. But you can buy this for cheaper.

And 850 psu. What for? Even if he upgrades to sli on a 980 that build won't draw more then 500 watts. Even with 3 way sli your average powerdraw is 650 watts nowadays.

The GTX 780ti does outperform the GTX 970 by around 5% on average.  The GTX 970 has amazing power efficiency and an extra 500MB of VRAM... and is cheaper.

Look I agree with u on the case. The power supply was the same as his 750 watt antec so why not. And that card for he is doing, will never see those issues

I agree with everything you have posted so far... except the part about the 970 being "shitty".

I would really grab the 980 at $1500.

Run this stock until you feel the need to OC, then buy a cooler.  You won't need to OC, but you will want to lower the noise factor from the stock cooler.

$1526
