How is it anti-consumer ???

Fanboy's ranting about how it's a slightly different Socket so it's obviously Intel being Anti Consumer...

The socket changed, meaning a new motherboard will have to be purchased. I remember reading somewhere (Think it was on these Forums) people were angry about Haswell-E needing a new Motherboard, calling Intel "Anti Consumer" because of it.

Will in haswell-e you had to use DDR4 so new chipset and new slots = new motherboard.

They also said the same thing for Haswell being on LGA 1150 even more so cause they reduced the number of pins...

And ???

I've seen people say it was consumer unfriendly to require a new motherboard claiming they could've gotten away with  just having 5 unused pins on haswell and a bios update for haswell support...

Cesrai if you know much about CPU/Mobo technologies which you seem to then you'd know they couldn't and it's just idiots who don't wanna spend money saying this stuff illogically which is the point why Nio called them rants

Sorry m8, I didn't know you were seconding, I thought you were going to say it's anti-consumer for no reason what so ever.

Like I said in Haswell-e they used DDR4 which need new slots and a new chipset so logically you would need a new motherboard, the same appleis to skylake as it will support both DDR4-DDR3.

yeah haswell-e definately made sense, people just assume same (or similar number of pins) means they should be able to have the same motherboard and with Skylake I'm expecting to see the comment atleast once or twice people saying they should be able to use an LGA 1150 and just not be able to use DDR4 w/ Skylake

Just remind them that chipset does something and isn't just for looks.
