You can use a KVM switch for use a single keyboard/mouse for one computer at a time. Not sure if they do HDMI.

the only way of doing it, is with a switch, or you will have to swap the usb cables over each time

The other way would be to get usb extensions that go from each computer and to the top of your desk so that you dont have to reach around every time you need to swap cables. I've looked at the HDMI KVMs and they are $100 up.

Hang on, why take a kvm switch and just don't bother with the video?

If you connect the 2 pc's straight to the monitor you want to use. And use the switch only for keyboard and mouse. It's problem solved, no?

The only "issue" i can see is that you need to switch the kvm switch and the input of the monitor seperatly.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

You're right- use this too.
