Hard Drive Locked

So it's kinda rare I have a question for this forum, but everyone gets one.

 

Earlier I was running Ziftrcoin on my pc and left it run all night while I slept. When I was getting back up some jackass shut the power off to our dorm's floor thinking you have to to change a damn light bulb. I rebooted my PC and everything seemed to work except for one thing. My External hard drive which is a 4TB has all my steam games and others and my movies, music, my life no longer is writeable. It's just read only. I can't delete any files. None of my steam games work now. I've tried to run the Scanning and repairing on my PC and my laptop and so far there is no indication of progress. I guess I may make today a great day copy all the data onto two different drives I have and just reformat it.

 

Does anyone have any ideas before I just Mr. Clean it?
