Cool will make the changes and spend a little bit more money.

An i3 will work for most games but an i5 will be better, it depends which games you play

So i got my current build planned out http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hFqXNGand after watching the new cpu core for gaming video. I was wondering if the i3 was good enough for gaming or i should save my money and get an i5?

You REALLY want 8gbs of RAM. Sorry to tell you that.

Also, if you CAN save up, the i5 is going to be much stronger. But if oyu can`t, then there's no point in complaining, just stick to the i3.

Ik i an i3 will be good for minecraft and things but i would rather have an i5 for 'future proof' and i might get into video production

no such thing as future proofing without going balls to the wall. IT depends how long it takes to save up 200+ dollars and how quickly you need a new computer. IF you dont mind the wait, then save, if not then buy the i3 first, maybe sell it later when you dont need it, then buy the i5.
