Tight Budget Build, need to get cheaper w/o losing performance

So right now my build is as follows, and I really want to get it cheaper.  Before you all go crazy, I am staying NVidia for CUDA acceleration.  I have the liquid cooler in because I want to do some ocing and don't know how far you can get on air with only stock case fans and airflow and its pretty darn cheap with corsair quality still.  All help is much appreciated.  Thanks.  Ideally I want $500-550 USD as end price.

Two areas where you can go cheaper are:

Motherboard - You don't need to pay $110 for a MoBo for that Aniversary Edition CPU. Get a board under $80 and you'll get same exact performance, bare loss of features.

PSU - You can drop down to the CX500. You don't need anywhere near 600 Watts with that GPU, even with the most extreme OC.

That CLC is fine. The price works for this build. Atlhough, a Hyper 212 would pinch a few bucks off if you get into a very tight budget situation.

My problem is that I'm going for a white/black themed build and this was the cheapest ATX board I can find.  Also,  don't I need a Zxx board for overclocking?

No, because its on socket LGA 1155 and it doesn't support PCI-E 3.0.  It supports one PCI-E 2.0 x16 connection.  Thats it.  My source for that is the Intel page for this processor.

Doesn't the G3258 only support DDR3-1333 mhz?  That's what everything I've read about the processor says

that means nothing it means that is the speed it will run at once you install the ram

you just enable a higher number in the bios as long as the motherboard is ok with high speeds which it does you are fine. also 280x > 960 if the software supports opencl (which the adobe suite does)

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Ok, so what is the point of the processor giving a supported RAM speed?  I'll be doing gaming and schoolwork/internet surfing.  I won't be using the adobe suite.

Then cover the heatsinks or paint them or something?  Or i could change my color scheme to blue, but I like it at white/black.

Then where else can I cut corners?  I've heard of people getting decent overclocks on the intel stock cooler on the 3258, but I would much rather have an aftermarket cooler.  Maybe go for a Hyper 212 evo or hyper t4?
