I set boot up cores to 6, now pc won't go to desktop

Ghost4372

In windows settings, I decided to put 6 cores utilized to boot instead of 1. Now my pc goes into startup repair and does nothing. I can't access safe mode and I can't seem to find anything in my bios. I currently have a m5a97 r2.0 motherboard with asus uefi

If you have a windows install disc or the a windows boot USB, go into Windows Recovery Environment through that instead.

I had that problem once and I had to reinstall windows and the next time that I tried to configure the boot up with more than one core I noticed that windows recognize all the threads that the cpu supports but the problem is that the boot up ask for the cores so that means that if appears 8 cores but your cpu is only 4 you have to choose 4 or less otherwise is not going to work.

I keep practicing my english so I hope you understand the main idea jajaja
