OnePlus Verizon Compatibility?

Is the OPO compatible with Verizon Wireless? I'll be moving to T-Mobile as soon as my contract expires but I want to make sure I can use the phone on Verizon while my contract is still in service. Also if you had the choice between the OPO and the Samsung S6 (On Contract threw Verizon) what one would you pick? Could I get a fair amount of money back out of the OPO if I decided I wanted the S6?

Did you buy it unlocked?

All OPO's are unlocked, thats the nature of the phone. That doesn't mean it will work on Verizon the cellular chip has to support the same bands.

google is your friend. I just searched "will the one plus one work on Verizon," from what ive read the answer is no it will not work.

No, because the OnePlus One is not a CDMA phone. It is a GSM phone. "WCDMA" is actually in reference to GSM 3G technology, such as HSPA/UMTS and similar technologies. 

 

If you are interested in possibly switching carriers so that you can use the OnePlus One, I'll help you out with that.

What can you help me with?

Finding the best bang for your buck plan out there.

 

Here's what I mean.

 

I'm currently using Harbor Mobile, which simply resells T-Mobile business plans. I pay $50 and get unlimited LTE data. And that's 100% unlimited LTE data and not throttled after a certain amount used, like other plans. This same plan costs $80 through T-Mobile. 

 

Harbor also has a $30 plan with 2.5GB of data and a $40 plan with 4.5GB of data. 

 

Since Harbor resells TMo business plans, you also get T-Mobile features, such as music streaming not counting against your data, free data roaming (which I recently used in a trip to Germany/Italy), data rollover (on their $40 plan only), and other benefits. 

 

Getting a plan with Harbor isn't as simple as just ordering it. You have to be part of a business. But don't fret! It's easy to BS them, because they don't verify anything. All you have to do is email them to get a signup code. If they ask for any information, BS it, honestly. They don't check anything.
