I was in the bios and I noticed that there was a fast boot option in there what exactly does it do. it is enabled by default. what would disabling it do?

It will effectively make your pc boot faster. Problem is, except if Asus has a software to open bios from windows, it boots to fast to even be able to open the bios at startup which can be problematic. Most people recommend not using that function

Asrock has a similar feature. It seems it does a reboot call when you shutdown your pc.
