GAMING BUILDS SORTED BY BUDGET APRIL 2015

Timopomer

I created some builds people can look at and modifiy as they wish.

the operating system can be YARR'ed or bought from ebay or something.

The 400$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JnjxjX

This gaming pc will be great for light 720-1080p gaming and is very upgradeable.

The 500$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GCgWCJ

This gaming pc will be great for medium-high 1080p gaming and is very upgradeable.

The SSD and faster GPU will make this pc amazingly fast.

The 600$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tXFksY

This gaming pc will be great for high-ultra 1080p gaming and sadly is NOT very upgradeable due to the am3+ platform getting outdated.

The better CPU and GPU will be great for this build

The 700$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QPhppg

This Gaming pc is still designed for high-ultra 1080p or low 1440p gaming but the added upgrade ability and better CPU giving it the higher pricetag.

The 800$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gyZy7P

This Gaming pc is designed for ultra 1080p or low-medium 1440p gaming and has improved in cooling and graphics department and also with a bigger SSD to hold more games.

The 900$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WVZy7P

This Gaming pc is designed for ultra 1080p or medium-high 1440p gaming and has improved graphics and processor do justify its higher price tag.

The 1000$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/34jxjX

This Gaming pc is designed for ultra 1080p or medium-high 1440p gaming and has improved overclocking abilities and cooling to justify its higher price tag.

The 1100$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MKMNjX

This Gaming pc is designed for high 1440p gaming and has a better GPU and cooling than the last PC.

The 1200$ build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NVgWCJ

This gaming pc is still for high 1440p gaming because the improvements are in cooling and aesthetics. - not recommended

The 1300$ build UPGRADED! Thanks Sauron

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/43tDFT

This Gaming pc is for high-ultra 1440p or low-medium 4k gaming because of improved graphics, but i sacrificed some looks for the leap

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Y9Pqgs

This build is for ultra 1440p or medium-high 4k gaming with SLI 970s to give you massive graphics performance.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mmKmvK

This build is for ultra 1440p or medium-high 4k gaming with the latest Z97 i7 processor to give you higher performance in games.

You can change the description in the last 3 or 4 to "ultra 4k gaming"

(and for the love of everything in the 1400$ one use two R9 290Xs instead of a 980 )

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Because you can get two for cheaper than a single 980. And two of those completely destroy a 980. And 750 watts are enough, even though just barely (getting 850 wouldn't be much more expensive anyway).

spare a little money on the cpu cooler or the case. Overclocking your cpu won't give you nearly as much more performance as 2 290Xs would. Or just go with R9 290s instead, they still completely rek a 980.

In what way? Sure, there's a little less maintenance required and you need to mess with drivers a little bit more, but the issues that were tied to dual gpu configurations are almost completely gone. No more stuttering, dramatically better scaling, and more. Simply put, it makes no sense to buy a 980 that will give you 10% more performance than a single 290X for almost twice the price. For little more than that money you can get two 290Xs and 70% more performance than a 980. Math doesn't lie, 980s make no sense in their price range.
