/quiver. Well you said legit, not good...  so I can't give you grief   :P

OP, keep in mind that the line of AMD card you're running does get warm. Peaking into 85C+ or so shouldn't be abnormal, but staying there consistently is when you'll start causing damage.

I've changed my settings and it peaks at 76C now :P

Boss mode. Good job, bro. Glad the guys here were able to help you out!

Did you end up reapplying new thermal paste? Did you lower your OC? Did you simply adjust your fan graph?

Thanks man! And thank all of em too! :)

All i did was tweak my OC

I reset my voltage offset to factory settings

I even managed to OC (without voltage offset or any modification to powerlimit) from 1040/1300 (factory settings) to 1110/1350

xD (with voltage offset of +100mV and power limit to 50% my OC was 1155/1580)

CPU's only require a little thermal paste because the die is just a small thing in the middle. the GPU die in literally the entire square you see there and you want to cover the entire thing with thermal paste.. its not like a CPU.. pls...

Just remember you're not making a cake like either of these:

However you still want the die completely covered. This next photo is just about right, but a tiny bit too much. Still a completely serviceable job though:

Also Critizin could stand to make less assumptions and have a better attitude.

1. Overclock until the magic smoke comes out. 2. Modify until broken. 3. Fix and repeat.

Now that my tempts are alot better should i bother with changing the thermal paste?

So i've just changed my thermal paste and i am idling at 42-44C now (an improvement over the 50-55C i was experiencing :P)
