I recently built my first computer and had it running Ubuntu 14.04 for a while as budget has been extremely tight. Recently bought a windows license and did a clean install but after changing OS it won't recognize my ethernet cable that is ribbing through a linksys router. I've tried everything I can think of, any help is appreciated

you need to install the LAN drivers for your motherboard

they are on the disk that came with the motherboard or you can find them on the manufacturer website on the downloads page for your specific motherboard
