I am looking to make a low powered almost silent PC for downloading and storage of content. How do you think this build is so far. All I will be doing on it is downloading media and backups over-night and then transfer them to my main rig.

Case https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-709-LL

Mobo https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-585-AS

CPU https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-497-IN

Memory https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-119-GL&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1180

Storage https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-403-WD

PSU https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-355-SV&tool=3

I know that the PSU is the wrong size but I am thinking of fabricating a bracket somehow or maybe just some wood. I will probably make some adjustments like maybe a passive cooler in there somewhere. Also do you think the case will come with sliders to fit HDDs into or do I need to get a cage for this case, it's hard to tell because I have only worked in cases with a roller design.

I changed the PSU to one that will fit into an ATX PSU slot.

For the sake of the LTT community... do you think you could make a PC Part Picker list? You can find the right parts and show how much of each you will be getting.

Looks alright for now but it's better if you can interact with a pc part picker list.

Dual Boot Windows & Hackintosh

CPU: Intel 4790K | Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Hero Vii | GPU: Zotac AMP! Extreme GTX 970 | Display: ASUS PB278Q | Case: Phantom 630 | PSU: Corsair HX1000i

Canada eh?

I don't like PC Part Picker. I like to have a bookmark to find what I want and PC part picker doesn't always have everything. I have my reasons.

That's fine. It looks alright, but I'll have to take a more in depth look.

Hope the NAS turns out!

Thanks I will go for that one instead. Do you know if HDDs can go straight in, do they screw into the sides with nothing that you fit to the HDD first and then you slide it in.

Wow, I love that case....

I am looking to rebuild my NAS soon, to get rid of my Hot AM3+ Cpu, and this might be my dream case.....

I think they go straight in and screw in from the sides.
