Looking for Beginner/Intermediate Camera

Ok, so alot of what I normally do is small movie shoots for indie movies and some work here at college. I also would like to upgrade alot of my YouTube stuff with the camera as well. I don't want to spend a ton of money and I realize that because of that I wont be able to get a highest quality camera.

I guess my question is, what is the best camera for me to buy if I only really want things like a shotgun mic mount as well as a price point that a college kid can afford within reason. anyone have any suggestions? i think i'm willing to spend around 500 to 700 bucks.

I really like the Canon XA10 and XA20 but they are WAYY outside my price point. Is there anything similar? or anything that is at all similar?

Collecting every single CPU in existence? Is it possible? I have no idea, but i'm sure gonna try! http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/341848-dont-throw-away-old-cpus-im-collecting/

This is a very nice camera.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/759003-REG/Sony_HXR_MC1500E_HXR_MC1500E_Shoulder_Mount_PAL.html

Only 1080p though, which is a downer.

Still quite a bit out of my price range... i only wanna spend a max of 700 bucks for now. its all i can afford unfortunately

Are you looking to have interchangeable lenses?

No, not necessarily, i just want a good camera that would be good for grab and go uses, i'm still at the beginnings of film school so i don't want to have to mess with every little tiny thing just to shoot.

I would go for a canon t5i or if you are willing to wait the canon t6s that is coming out soon. A t5i paired with magic lantern firmware makes some real great 1080p video. With a dslr, you also have the option to use different kinds of lenses which is a HUGE plus. That camera plus the canon 50mm 1.8 lens is great for video.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

A Canon DSLR - I've used an EOS550D/T2i for professional work. Any of the newer revisions will be great, though older ones you will be able to pick up a body and a couple of lenses for $700.
