I have a cheap pc that I built. It has 3gb of ddr2 ram, 4 ssdd, a pentium e2180, and a intel dg31pr desktop motherboard. I have tried Niresh, and Unibeast. It only gets about halfway through the yosemite boot screen then it spits out a symbol like a corcle with a line through it. Any ideas on what I can do?

I was actually able to get to the setup on my old dell xps m1330. But i couldnt complete the install because it only had 1.5 gb of ram installed. Im not at hkme right now but when i get home i will throw in a 1gig stick of ram in place of the 512mb stick and update you guys. (Fingers crossed) i hope this works.

get an better system, i doubt yosemite works on ddr2.

apple is known for their very closed envoirment, even your mobo could be a problem, you cant do this on every system/set up

Yeah, you are going to run into problems but someone else was able to do it: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-desktop-guides/137480-another-old-school-build-intel-dg31pr-q2c-6600-hd-5600-osx-10-9-3-a.html

I would recommend just installing linux though, its really not that different than OS X other than how open it is.

yes, but like i said, im not sure(nearly completely sure it doesnt) if OSX yosemite supports ddr2, which means you NEED ddr3.

besides that you need specific verified parts to ensure a hackintosh build works.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.
