I recently built a new pc which is all fine and dandy. The ssd is working. However, the hard drive is not recognized by the computer. I tried to go into disk management to initialize it, but the hard drive partition was not shown there. What do I do?

Check the SATA data/power connectors. Make sure they're seated properly etc. Test multiple ports on your MOBO.

Aside from that, plug it into another computer. Is this a new drive? or you know for certain it was working previously?

Could you clarify what a mobo port it? It is a new drive.

some SATA ports need their drivers installed (depending on what mobo used)

as said before, power and data connection is critical.

if not visible within disk management, then the drive is not sending signals to be found.

build specs, please

the two gray SATA ports are SATA III on the asmedia controller. Needs driver install.

the six black SATA II ports are on the SB chipset AMD catalyst should install these.

Is the regular sata cable pink? Which driver should I install on the website?

The drivers are for windows 7 and under.

Even with Windows 8/8.1

as long the driver is 64bit

it will work also
