I just found out i have a micro center around my house and it looks like they have some pretty good deals

AMD: http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx

Intel: http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx

what is the best bang for the buck here?

Im a engineering student so i want my computer to be able to run programs like solid works. I also game and would like to stream games like dota, borderlads, and bioshock.

I have ~$300 budget but im willing to spend a little more for something that is worth it.

I also just got a coolermaster hyper 212 evo so i can overclock.
