Ok, guys here is my "problem" i wanna buy new graphics card and don't know which one to choose. Finalist are Sapphire R9 280 3GB OC Dual-X and Gigabyte (Or Asus Strix not sure yet but it's the same ) GTX 960 WF2... So please help me I'm gonna use it for gaming mostly League Of Legends, but i want good performance in new games if i want to play them. And if you can explain me "power consumption" is it when it's on max load or idle ?

Thanks.

PS: Excuse me if there is grammar or other mistake.

First of all, get behind cover. Fire war incoming.

AMD's stuff is good in terms of raw power, but Nvidia has nice drivers which notify you with updates and shadowplay etc.

And what resolution will you be playing at?

Get a R9 280, and choose the one which is cheapest.

Usually you can find the max power comsumption (Wattage consumptions on 100% load) on the site you are going to buy the GPU.

What other games do you play, and at what resolution? What PSU do you have?

If you can link us to the store site we might be able to make a better suggestion.

I want to play GTA V when it comes to PC, resolution is 1080p on single monitor and 500W PSU

GTA V has EXTREMELY low specs, so both will be fine. As long as you don't want max graphics of course.

I would go with an R9 280 (only moment when I would vote for AMD), as it has a GB extra VRAM.

If you care about noise get a 960 so it can be silent in LoL but if you want slightly better price/performance an AMD card would be there better option.

my 750ti can max out league of legends and bioshock infinite though so you could maybe go with less...

I have the Dual-X 270x and think it's a very good card.  That said, I feel the Nvidia drivers would push me towards going with the Intel card.  Honestly though, I think for your intended needs either card would do perfectly fine.
