300 isnt enough to play on high settings in either of those. 720p high settings is the best you're going to manage with that hardware, the 630 is a bit of a crap shoot card, used mainly for businesses just to get a display or multiple displays to work.

For 300, you're much better off looking around for used hardware, as that's really not enough to get anything super great..

But not @ 1080p all high settings with any sort of anti aliasing. They're both very well optimized, but still use frame buffer, which integrated graphics really errr, such at.

AMD APU may have good iGPUs but they are not exactly decent in running MMO based games

the A4 is a dual core APU

i will only say the A10 is the best APU to get but that cost 120 bucks just for the APU/CPU

Pretty much the best you're going to do is something along these lines. If you do go with this build, And as soon as possible get 4 more gb of ram, preferably the same kit, as that will help GREATLY.

i am sorry bro but i have to correct you

dual graphics only works with AMD GPUs and only the R7 240 and R7 250

also APU uses the system RAM as VRAM so the faster the RAM speed is the better

Then drop the 630 completely. But either way unless you get rid of a power supply, or hard drive you can't get much better. You can get a case with a crap power supply built in but in no way can i suggest that.

that's the fastest, and largest ram kit available @ that price point,

i can suggest this

swap the APU for the 760K or 860K

now he can use the GT630

But why? The 7700K is far faster than a 630.

Both running medium settings in skyrim the 7700K manages to edge out just about 30fps.in 1080p.

The 630 had to be cranked back to 720p and medium settings to get 29fps.

See the difference? For him to do that, he would be getting far less.

and what if he does what you say eh? then in a couple months gets a new game he wants to try out, and finds out he can only manage 11 fps at low settings in 1080p eh? when, when he was given a chance, he could have gotten triple that fps at medium settings.

I used to have an i3 coupled with a GT 240 and could run Dota 2 in high settings, no AA with decent FPS at 1440x900. People survive lower fps/graphics, we're just spoiled. When you are on such a budget you have to make compromises and I don't think OP is aiming for "future proofness".

When I switched to my i5 and sold my GT 240 I realised that even though HD Graphics 4600 was far better, it performed worse even with 8gb 1600mhz ram, just because of discrete GPU the dedicated 1 (ONE) GB GDDR5 memory.

I would suggest

AMD Athlon x4 860k   $74

ASUS A88XM-E          $68.98  -  53.98

G.Skill 2x4 1333         $58.98

Seagate 1TB 7200     $59.99

EVGA 430W               $32.99  -  27.99

Total                          $294.94 - 275.93

I can't get PcPartPicker to work on my work PC sorry.

This should run those games easily in high graphics at 720p and mid 1080p.

Hope it helps
