Hello guys, i wanna ask some questions here

1- which psu i need for this system : r9 280x + FX 6300 (stock) + watercooler or cool master 212 evo , and also if the FX 6300 is OC'ed .. (mention both cases)

2- r9 285 + the same system

3- gtx 960 + the same system

4- replacing the cpu to i5 4440 with the same steps above (r9 280x / r9 285 / gtx 960 )

my budget : 60~65$  (living in egypt which means different prices by 10 or 15$ )

i found these psus here so tell me which one of them.. and if noone then tell me which psu should i get ?

Gamma 600wt PSU

Corsair VS Series VS550M 550w PSU

Thermaltake Smart SE 530w PSU

ZALMAN ZM500-GV 500w 80 Plus Bronze PSU

and this :

SeaSonic ECO 600W PSU    but kinda above the budget ..

and thanks

It all depends on whether you want to overclock or not, but at the same time you don't want to cheap out on a PSU as a crappy one could potentially destroy you're whole system

You're whole explanation is kind of confusing though

Been playing on a laptop for 6 years, I play Dota 2 with 10fps. Some might say this is impossible, I say its just annoying

I built a system for a friend with a R9 280X and an FX-8350 and it hasn't had any problems with a Rosewill Hive 550W. It's $70 right now on Newegg which is above your budget, however generally any 550W unit from a decent company would be good. This is a good reference: https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx

The 285 would use even less power than the 280X, and the 960 would use even less than that. Switching to the Intel 4440 would again lower the power requirements even further for all three of the GPUs.

I'd personally go with these which should be able to handle any of those configurations:

Corsair VS Series VS550M 550w PSU

SeaSonic ECO 600W PSU

i think the post is so clear guys.. i need to know which one will suit every case there.. oc or not and intel or not.

i have a very similar build as yours. 550w is more than enough including OC. I would go 600w just to be safe (especially if you get a poor psu).

and just FYI the only psu i would buy on that list would be the seasonic. The rest are a "MEH" to "crap"

The seasonic 600w will suit all the cases you mentioned and still have headroom to spare.

im not asking for the one suits all. im asking for a one for each build because i wont pay for 600w psu although the build can be good with lower one.. and thats why i did mention these builds.

ok its not my build.. im asking for each build i have wrote there..

each build is almost identical in power uses, plus or minus a couple of watts. My build which uses a more power hungry video card pulls a little less than 500w. You can calculate your own estimated wattage by using sites like pcpartpicker.

the 600w will cover every build plus future proof you a bit for a more powerful card. Those other psu's you listed are below par for the most part.

None of those PSUs are particularly great. It's highly recommended to go with an OEM like Seasonic or one of their rebrands such as Antec or XFX.

Considering you get a good PSU:

1st 550W

2nd and 3rd 450W

Remove 50W for Intel i5-4440 stock speeds

remove 50w for intel means it uses less 50w than fx ?
