How difficult is it to move an OS over from a HDD to an SSD?

I haven't even built my PC yet but I do have the OS (Windows 7 Professional). I was wondering when building it, should I initially just get the SSD and HDD or could I upgrade later. Ive heard from some its an easy copy paste, but others have said that its pretty buggy.

Been playing on a laptop for 6 years, I play Dota 2 with 10fps. Some might say this is impossible, I say its just annoying

AFAIK You can just clone your drive and bam your done.

Mind out though, it will try to move all of it so you can't move your 800GB used HDD to a 128GB SSD :(

Don't forget about the loss in capacity. A 256 GB SSD will only be about 238GB when you account for loss.

First get an ssd, and add an hdd when you've got the money.

Main PC: 4690k, LMG Edition G1 Gaming GTX 980, 16GB Hyper X Fury, Asus Z97-A, EVGA G2 850W, Crucial MX100 128GB, WD Red 1TB 2.5", Dark Rock 3

Download Belarc Advisor here: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Than get your windows key, download the  windows 7 professional installation disk (if you don't already have one) from Microsoft and install windows 7 prof onto your SSD and go ahead and install anything else you need to from your other HDD.  Quite easy!

You should just do a clean install of the OS.  Its always the best option, for many different reasons.  You can follow this easy to use guide:

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
