Borderless Windowed Mode

Go to solution Solved by GzeroD,

Turn off FullScreen in the Options
Bring down the console with tilde ("~")
Enter r_FullscreenWindow 1
Enjoy your window. Which should also, coincidentally, be borderless.

I require assistance. I have recently acquired the use of another monitor and I wish to simultaneously game and perform another task. However, this disgusting border hampers and inhibits my enjoyment of the game (namely Star Citizen). How do I remove it?

I welcome any and all suggestions, both generalized and Star Citizen specific.

Thanks in advance.

So uhh... What do you need help with? Games with generally have a windowed (borderless) mode. If they do then select that. There are other ways of course, but a lot of them are janky. Like the autohotkey borderless window.

you disabled full screen in the options menu first and it still didn't work?

I would remote into my desktop to try it there but SC will kill a teamviewer connection.

Running border less full screen automatically turns on v-sync. Most people don't know this.

Well most people are not getting over 60 FPS in SC yet anyway.

I'll give it a shot again when I get home. I'll restart the computer and do all the stuffs. Maybe it's not working because it's a dual-monitor set up?

This worked. I just had to save the config file in an alternate location (desktop), open it withe Notepad++, edit it, save it, then drag it back into the original folder. It wouldn't save (for some odd reason) when I tried editing it while it was in the folder.

He's already in my sights. I've been number 2 every time I've flown against him. The crown will be mine!!! MWAHAHAHA ;)

But in the PU, you'd be hard pressed to find a better wingman than @Corwin111

All this is making me jealous and sad that I wasn't there the last few times...

I need to get into one of those games sometime. Even if only to become cannon fodder or a meatshield against corwin. I can just imagine it now, I'll plop in with my paper whale tank and distract him enough for someone to attack him. Granted, from what I hear, he will still kill me and the person that decided to shoot him :(

Still new, but learning

You heard correctly. The man is a demon In a hornet. But one day soon in the PU he will be our demon.
