What do I do after building a pc?

UniversalBacon

I will be building my first gaming computer in the next week or so, but i'm still not 100% sure how to handle the software side of things.  I know i need to mess with the BIOS (NOT OVERCLOCKING), but how?  I also need to know what to do right after installing Windows 8.1 64 bit.  What do I need to download other than basic things (browsers, adobe, etc.)?  Do I need to run any tests on the system? Here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3kyWCJ  Please help

Once your done building, have a party, inject some thermal paste! (Please don't)

Go to the BIOS and enable XMP to have your RAM running at full speed, then install windows, install your main drivers like: Chipset, graphics card, wifi/ethernet and USB.

Then go to http://ninite.com and install your essential apps, then install stress testing software like Intel XTU/AIDA64 to stress test the CPU and furmark to stress test the GPU, ALSO be sure to install CPUID HWMonitor to monitor your temps.

DONE! Enjoy your new PC :)
