How old are you now though? As you go through growth spurts as a child and into your teenage years a lot of people can experience eye issues. It's when my eyesight originally got bad. It deteriorated very rapidly between the ages of 11 and 14 and then slowed down and eventually stabilized when I was 17.

If you are still young then I wouldn't be hugely concerned about blindness, but if you are in your 20s or higher then definitely consult an expert.

I'm 15 , softmour in high school . I hope it'll stabillize soon ... Un til then , how can I stop it from deteriorating ?

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

Wear your glasses, but only when required.

You'll damage your eyes more by straining them than letting them relax without glasses.

I for example can't read more than a hands length in front of my face, so I need to wear mine all the time apart from sleeping and looking at something really small.

If you can get away with no wearing them to read, then don't. But don't strain your eyes trying to read.

Maybe I'll try to take off my glasses while not reading or staring something really small . I think that's why my eyes are keep getting worse , I wear them all the time ( Not in the shower and sleeping of course ) . I too can't read a hands length from my face , or even worse . I'll try and let my eyes relax as frequent as possible . Thank you

If there ever was a name on these frames then it's been worn away ages ago.

They are pretty thin too. But all metal so i suppose that might be why they've held up.

Noticably scratched though :/

Well If it's Carbon I don't think it'll scratch that easily ... Carbon can be surprisingly sturdy as well ...The only thing that can break is the screws that holds the glasses together . Those are the one that go away first , then you just have to replace the glasses :/

I've been wearing glasses since I was 5, I'm something like -2.55/-4.50, so fairly short sighted. I struggle to read anything more than 30cm away from me, so wear them all the time.

Currently I have a pair of normal glasses with a plastic frame (Had similar ones before these ones, before that style frame became popular) And I've another pair in a thinner metal frame with prescription sunglasses lenses in. I also plan on getting my old frames have a yellow tinted lens put in to reduce eye strain when using my computer.

I do have contact lenses but I wear them pretty infrequently, I'm too lazy to get up and put them in before school, although that's slowly changing.

And yes, I do think that glasses can be hot, but it's dependent on the person and the frames.

Lenses or glasses? I use lenses now, and am gonna get LASIK. I switched from glasses when I started doing work on camera, and my appearance was important, but I still needed to read a prompter. The difference is immense - for 10 years of my life I missed out on so much - I'd never seen the reflection of my eyes in a mirror before for one. Still have a pair of glasses for if my subscription lenses are late or I run out early or need to see after I've taken them out. But things such as wearing 3D glasses, not having to carry a case around etc made life so much better. That said, contact lenses weren't available for my prescription for most of the time I had glasses.

How many broken? Fuck knows. 3 a year usually. Resorted to the Flexi ones for kids. Broke within a month.

Sex appeal? Depends on the person. I look much better without them, but I never chose fashionable pairs. I've had girlfriends who have tried mine on where it definitely improves something. But generally, with a good looking person, they'll look good with glasses. An ugly person will still look ugly.

My lenses are -2.5 and -6.0, so there's a huge discrepancy between my eyes.

not really, most screws for glasses are in standard sizes. Just ask for your optometrist or ophthalmologist to fix it up for you.

My sight severely decreased when I was growing around 11-15. The last year or so my eyes have stabilised and have barely changed in the last year, so don't worry about it. My dad has even worse sight than me and he's put up with it for nearly 50 years.

I remember acting in class back in highschool. It was supposedly a horror scene and I was wearing glasses and well sweating bullets to add suspension of disbelief. While I was on the ground and pinned I was supposed to kick the living sh*t out of the ghost and run off. I did kick the ghost and tried to runoff but then I slipped on my own sweat and fell face flat my glasses were in shambles. I was expecting people laughing but as any actor would say the show must go on so I went on. After the scene they actually thought that falling over and breaking my glasses was part of the scene.  ;)

Leaving them on while sleeping? that's really bad you know. you might break your frame and be rolling over broken pieces of metal or plastic
