Second, list program using to monitor

Third, better hope you can fix with paste

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Asus X99 a

I7 5960x Haswell

Asus GTX 980

Went in to bios to set the driver to run my install my os and the temp is 73

check if cooler is propperly seated and replace thermal paste

what CPU Cooler?

 

 

I say BIOS is trying to run the CPU at full speed

 

install the OS and then check again with HWMonitor

^ Also about the cooler, did you mount the cooler correctly? Maybe it doesn't make good contact with the CPU.
