Hi, I'm in the market of building my first computer. Since this is my first time, I was wondering if anyone could help me cut down my build to 750-760, any help would be nice

get an h87/h97 motherboard since you have a locked CPU.  If you really want a Z board (maybe planning to upgrade to K chip later) look into asrock's anniversary Z97 motherboards.  They aren't the best, but they're pretty good for the money

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

No performance drop, $730 ($750 before rebates).

And to be fair, people act like the R9 280 wrecks the GTX 960 when it only performs about 5%-10% better with a 40% higher TDP. You can replace the GTX 960 with an R9 280, but it will consume more power and run hotter. It's your choice.

Switch to a cheaper case, such as the ANTEC One or Three-Hundred-Two.

Should save you $30

You could also switch to a BioStar or ASRock MoBo

Could save you $40

Another thing you could switch would be to a 400-500 Watt PSU, like the ANTEC VP-450 Watt

Should save about $20

^

This could also save you some money over time... Because some PSUs will draw 100 watts more than what the system will be using. (Not sure about the CS-Series though)

Have you tried to restart it?
