My gpu doesn't fit in my case without a riser. I was wondering if there was anyway I could mount the card and still have access to the ports without hacking up my case.  Is it even possible to mount your gpu since you don't want the pcb to touch anything for support...

What case are you using, and I'm assuming your GPU has an extra wide PCB making it difficult to mount?

raidmax superblade

case is actually too short, unless i move the card up into the odd bays or down into the hdd bays

Is it not possible to have it further up on the first PCI-E lane so it goes either above into the HDD or Bay areas?

Another option is removing that mid plate between the front bays which by drilling out those rivets which I assume is the issue your having to make the proper clearance but be sure to have a hard drive or something bolted in place to ensure rigidity once that plate is removed.

snip

well my card would sit in the 2nd and 3rd slot should it fit directly in my 16x slot only that lines up directly with the 2.5in.

The odd's are offset from the hdd's due to sizes being 5.25in and 3.5in which means if i remove the 2.5 then sadly the bays most likely would not be stable anymore.

Hmmm, the easiest would be to remove that support and install it either higher up or lower down between the 2nd and 3rd slot to prevent it from getting in the way of the GPU if your worried about support. It would be a lot easier than using a PCI-E riser and trying to mount and have accessible rear ports which would need some modifications for that to work.

Sorry, i wasn't too clear that was my plan from the beginning grabbing a ribbon cable and somehow mounting it vertically in my case
