So basically, what should I install on my basic AM1 server?

If you want to add any pros/cons feel free to do so down below.

BTW, which one of these two can be installed on (not from) a usb stick?

I have OMV on my old Dell right now (link to that log is in my sig), and it's pretty nice. I haven't actually gotten to really use it as a NAS like I want to yet, but yeah. Easy to set up, I might add.

And it can be installed to a USB stick, it seems.

I saw your log, that's how I thought about OMV.

Ok, that's great, what about plugins?

Why did you choose it over Amahi?

I haven't installed any plugins yet, since I didn't even know how to map my share in Windows (this is some of the most complicated stuff I have done TBH).

As for why I chose it over that other one, I didn't even know it was a thing, and someone directed me towards OMV. :P
