4k build Help

Go to solution Solved by xnoobftw,

@techguru I have a micro itx board and I want to upgrade to an atx board with 2 PCIex16 slots for future upgrades.  My memory def needs a boost.  I have 16 GB of 1066 and want to up it to 16GB of 1600.  Also, you said the $999 GTX Ti was a waste, so what would you recommend?  I'm not keen on spending that kind of money when I won't be playing FPS games at all.

Your ram is fine. Reuse it. As for motherboard i suggest upgrading to one that allows SLI for future SLI of the titan X

Titan X really is the way to go if you want a long lasting beast of a gaming rig

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($95.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard  ($129.99 @ Micro Center)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX Titan X 12GB Video Card  ($999.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($114.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $1631.66
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I gotten you a 850 watts PSU (the best one too) for future SLI and OCing potential of both titan X
Your Ram really IS fine.
(IMO the build i gave you cannot be beaten)

@xnoobftw @techguru, since the Sabertooth board on Amazon was between $200 - $800 I went with xnoobwtf mobo for the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard .  This will be a slow build, probably taking me two months to buy everything.  I will save the GPU for last as everyone seems to agree that waiting for the AMD GPU is the best bet.  I'm not sure I want to stick with 1066 for the memory when I can use 1600.  I will buy the 1600 sticks if I can find a really good sale on them.  I will definitely keep you guys posted on the build.  Let me know if there are any sales you find online along the way.  Thanks again guys I really appreciate it.
