I remember a few years ago MIT show the prototype of this.

I mean, this Tech allows for people to  "see" through walls in that they can see if someone is on the other side or if anything moves.  But you cannot actually make out anything other than an outline.  Therefore, I guess there could be some downsides but they are not that big of a deal in my opinion.
