This build good for the money?

A friend has an ultra budget of 350$ USD. I scored him a final rig of these parts on craigslist and such, "Scrapyard Wars" (greatest show ever) style. Can I get some input onm the quality of the build relative to the cost? Not including any peripherals, just the machine itself.

 

CPU: intel i5 2500k quad core 3.3ghz processor
CPU cooler: arctic cooling alpine 7 pro

Motherboard: gigabyte ga-h77-wifi

GPU - XFX r9 280x 3gb

Memory: kingston 8gb ddr3
Hard drive: 500gb
Power supply: 480w
Case: cougar tool-less

Looks pretty damn spiffy for that much, though the 480W PSU (based upon it's wattage) sounds a little sketchy. What kind is it?

thats actually really solid for the price, although im skeptical as to whether everything is functional... usually just that 280x and h77 alone will run you 350 USD

Yup overclock the CPU and that's great performance/dollar.

I'm not too skeptical. The 280X tanked in value, you can find perfectly reliable ones for $110+ used.

If you can get it for the price the only thing I would question is the motherboard(Wifi and non-overclockable). Looks fantastic though.

Looks good! Like theSLSAMG said, I would probably get a new PSU.

If there is some spare cash left over, I would also get a new HDD, as used ones are very likely to fail soon.
