 Hello

Im new on the forum.I read a lot of good stuff here and i wanted to ask u guys a question about a Gainward GTX 970 SLi.I have this configuration now:

CPU  -Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz box
MBOA -ASUS P8P67 Deluxe rev. B3
GPU  -Gainward GeForce GTX 970 Phantom 4GB DDR5 256-bit
RAM  -Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit
CCPU -Noctua NH-D14
PSU  -Corsair Professional Series Gold AX750
SSD  -OCZ Vertex 3 Series 120GB SATA-III 2.5 inch
HDD  -WD 1.5TB SATA-III 7200 rpm 64MB Caviar Black
CASE -Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced

And i want to buy another GTX 970 but my main question here is the CPU, MB and PSU that i have will sustain a GTX 970 SLI?
The performance will drop considerable because the MB is pci-express 2.0?
Is the PSU enough for this SLI?
Excuse my english if i made mistakes and i hope u guys can help me with your advice, because im sure u know much more, then me regarding this subject.

Yes, all of your hardware will take a GTX 970 SLI setup with no sweat and you won't be noticeably bottlenecked by PCI-E 2.0.

What do you mean by 2k?

I'd guess most people mean 2560x1440, which definitely isn't 2K but is more 2.5K.

Yeah im reffering at 2560x1440.The vast majority of people say that is 2K.And that is why i what this GTX 970  SLI for gaming in this resolution because i know in higher res 2x970 can t handle,at least can't handle with some high settings. This is the monitor that i have in mind to buy  Acer Predator XB280HK

a single 970 can handle 1440p pretty well. sli 970s would be way way more than enough

Even 1 can handle it. I could play 5760x1080 on a single card. SLI can run that easy. Make sure your PSU has enough GPU power cords. You will need 4 six pin if each GPU uses 2 6 pins. I almost made that mistake :/

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk RAM: 32Gb DDR4  GPU(s): MSI 6800-XT Case: NZXT H440 Storage: 4x 250gb SSD + 2TB HDD PSU: Corsair RM850x with CableMod Displays: 1 x Asus ROG Swift And 3 x 24" 1080p Cooling: H100i Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Mouse: Corsair M65 RGB Sound: AKG 553 Operating System: Windows 10
