well by selling the 780 you get at least some of it back...

 

 

Maybe even more, I saw one on Anazon for $1500, new of course

I wouldn't sell it although I would like to.

When I upgrade I will use that as the starting point of a new build and donate it to a family member.

That card should last them a while at 1080.
