Every time I boot, I seem to get a new BSOD. After the BSOD, my desktop restarts, but it boots fine. While using it, I don't seem to have any performance issues. A while back, I had bad RAM. I replaced that and reinstalled Windows. I still get all these BSODs even after I ran DISM, SFC, scanned my HDD with SMART, and tested my RAM with memtest with ~7 passes I recently also ran a virus scan, no threats. All I know is my wifi adapter downloads corrupt files, and I have no way to fix or remedy it (I know it's my wifi adapter because files download fine over Ethernet). I just download drivers and important files on my laptop then transfer with a flash drive.

These are the errors I know of.

-SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION

That'd probably be a while.

it's better than dealing with BSOD's, I know your pain through. Back when I was in 7th grade my desktop had a bad hdd, and ram. So not only was the thing slow because it had a base line core 2 quad but every 2-4 hours it would crash, or sometimes even more than that. Due to Montana's work regulations I could only shovel sidewalks and do other stuff like that to get money so it took a while to fix the thing.

I don't believe the faulty wifi adapter is the source of the issue though.

On the OP you implied it was, so are the Blue Screens happening just when you boot or do they happen randomly and crash the computer?

What kind of card do you have and what version of windows are you using?

For wifi I'm using the Asus USB-N53, and I'm running on Windows 8.1.

When does the blue screen all happen and are you plugging it in a 3.0 port?

Try using a 2.0 port. Uninstall the current driver in ad remove and also device manager, unplug the device and restart. Once the computer has loaded windows plug the device in "usb 2.0 port" and install the driver. Restart the computer again and see if the issue is still happening.

The BSOD happens at random it seems. Sometimes it will boot fine, no BSODs. BUT, I think you might have solved a different issue. My wifi adapter behaves properly on a 2.0 port it seems.

Good, I would try and download some stuff and if it downloads complete files instead of corrupt ones then it's most likely not your wireless card. Would you mind going into your event viewer and sort it using Level's and take a screen cap, also open the last even and take a screen cap.
