So my friend and I linked steam accounts and he says he can play my games, but I cant seem to play his? they're not even on my library page. He has evbolve and I would really like to play please help!

If you mean using Family Sharing to share games you both own there here's the skinny.

1: You and your friend need to have signed in on both computers

2: If you want to see his games, he will need to go into the family sharing section on your computer, authorize both the computer and your account.

3: Repeat step 2 with your account on his computer so he can use your games.

4: Remember that if he is currently playing a game you will be unable to launch one of his games, and if he launches a game while you are playing you will receive a warning and then be kicked off.

Both accounts have to be authorized for sharing and both computers need to be authorized under each other's accounts. Sometimes the library disappears and I've found restarting Steam helps. There is also a drop down box in library to specify to show his if the authorization was done correctly they should appear regardless of if he is playing or not.

Yup, do what @EmoPolarbear said and also make sure you have them on your friends list and vice versa. That fixed my problem.

Can we talk for a second about how disappointing family sharing ended up being? Like I get not being able to play the same game at the same time, but really the whole library?

Also, some games cannot be shared, so Evolve might be one of them.
