Custom built PC desk

Hello LTT community

 

A while back I posted my idea about building a custom desk for my PC (link) and now it's becoming reality! 

 

I would like to thank Reddit user rocketmonkeys to make the 3D model on the first post, this made me get a better idea about it and how to adjust some things. (The images on the 3D models aren't how it's gonna look in reality)

 

From now on I will post updates here as they happen. I'm planning on making this something of beauty so I hope you are as hyped as I am

 

-update 1-

Drawing everything so I can get the materials. Also I can see where some parts have to be cut out for cable management. (Further explanation on how I will handle cable management when I'm actually building the desk so stay tuned )

Ordered my fans yesterday and they just arrived (pic)

I brought the plans to the workshop, but they are drowning in work so it'll take a few weeks to get my desk made. I can't wait for it!

Seems nice, maybe try those cheap IKEA desks and just iron on some new plastic stripes

I'll be able to take off the glass top so it'll be even easier to clean than a regular case. I'll also mount the fans on a thing that'll come off very easy

Oh I'm not going for the white it shows in the images. Gonna paint it brown and then another paint thing that makes it shine (Not sure how it's called, not native English sorry )

Painting it brown and then a shiny finish, LED's inside the case will be green (but idk if I'll keep those, might get different colors to see what looks best)

Fans are LED-free

I have green sleeved cables so I'll probably keep the green LED's anyway haha
