Printers

So my mom has a HP Photo smart wireless printer. Some times the printer seems to loose connection to the wireless network. The router sits about 3 feet away from the printer. All other wireless devices in the house work fine. Ive noticed it when scanning documents. The printer has a scan to computer feature. All I have to do is select a computer to scan to on the printer and I can continuously scan documents. I do this for school. Sunday my dad woke me up from a nap because he went to print and I guess he got an error about printer not being found on the network. 

 

Do wireless printers just suck? If so I may have to look in to getting my own printer. Just kinda wondered if this is a common problem with wireless printers or not.
